Dr. Bowman grew up in Indiana and attended medical school in Chicago, IL. He completed his under-grad and family practice residency in Denver, CO, and started practicing in Grand Junction in 1996. He joined the Grand Junction Family Medicine practice in 2011.

Botox/Dysport

Botox is a purified protein, used to relax the overactive muscles of the face.The treatment takes only a few minutes and is performed in the office. The effects of Botox take 7-10 days to develop and last 3-4 months after a single treatment. Botox is most commonly used to treat and prevent wrinkles between the eyebrows, horizontal wrinkles on the forehead, and crows feet.

There is no downtime after Botox treatment, which (combined with the excellent results it delivers) makes it one of the most popular dermatological treatments. As we tell the many patients who ask us, ‘what is Botox’, its an excellent treatment for anyone who would like to treat or prevent wrinkles without surgery.

Fillers

Dermal fillers are natural substances that can be used to fill in deep lines on the face or to replace volume that has been lost over the years. It is not uncommon for both women and men to feel that they’ve lost volume in their cheeks, or that their smile lines are getting deeper with time.

Dermal fillers address both of these problems by adding back the lost volume to smooth out the skin and give you back your more youthful appearance.
